The partners in the d.thinking project are:


 

VNB - Germany

The VNB is an officially acknowledged state-wide adult educational institution in Lower Saxony / Germany, founded in
1984. It is as well an umbrella organisation with a network of more than 200 adult educational member organisations and not-for-profit cooperation partners. Major topics of VNB educational work are of public, social and political interest, such as migration and integration, sustainable development, family and intergenerational education, gender and LGBTI* education, global learning, and many more. These activities are implemented solely or in co-operation with educational partners on regional, national or transnational level. Apart from its own educational work, the VNB gives financial, organisational and professional support to associations from Lower Saxony working in the VNB educational context and network.


Grunnet&Petersen - Denmark

Grunnet & Petersen – facilitation and development is a consultant business working to aid organisations and companies with organisational development and facilitation of meetings, workshops, training, conferences, etc. G&P specialises in designing processes that support a meaningful and motivated worklife. The organisation focuses on interactive and inclusive processes ensuring ownership and relevance for participants. In all its work, G&P attempts to live up to and include elements of sustainability and SDGs to create inclusive, socially responsible and environmentally friendly activities. The organisation was established in 2020 and has worked with diversity management in adult education (through Erasmus+ project Diversity), process facilitation and especially online facilitation. The partners of the organisation have previously worked together for 10 years in another organisation on EU projects; specialising in project management, facilitation, development of online educational platforms, workshops on SDGs and other trainings. G&P has a large network in municipalities, language centers in Denmark and adult education institutions. G&P is a member and holds a position in the board of FLUID (association of flexible education in Denmark), with 50+ members from the educational sector in Denmark.


 

Compass - Austria

COMPASS is a non-profit private company with an intercultural focus in order to promote the profes-sional and social integration and inclusion of migrants and refugees and create positive impact in pro-moting their social inclusion into the local community. Our programs provide support to people who suffer under economic, social and cultural obstacles, so our intention is to increase the employability of disadvantaged groups and ensure their educational and professional
empowerment and promote public awareness on needs of marginalized youth and disadvantaged groups, and monitoring and eval-uation are integral parts of our programmes. We offer vocational training and courses, and entrepre-neurship training on is one of our main activities in order to increase adults’ and youngsters’ skills and competences and give them opportunity to start their business.


FO-Aarhus - Denmark

Frit Oplysningsforbund – Aarhus (FO Aarhus, Association for Public Information) is a non-government, non-profit organisation established in 1973 to provide non-formal adult learning and counselling to the citizens of Aarhus. It has its own elected Board of Governors that come from the private sector, public administration, and the formal and vocational education sector. Since 1973, FO-Aarhus has expanded its reach and programs. Its primary focus is on adult education especially for the disadvantaged groups, i.e., refugees and immigrants, unemployed – to enhance their quality of life and to integrate (or re-integrate) them into society and the labor market. FO-Aarhus owns the “FO-byen” (FO City) – composed of several buildings where it holds its activities, programs and projects. Among its cast network are the Municipality of Aarhus (FO-Aarhus implements social projects for the municipality); local and national learning institutions, various types of NGOs; government institutions – both in policymaking and in delivery of public service.


SYNTHESIS - Cypruss

SYNTHESIS Center for Research and Education is a pioneering organisation which initiates and implements projects of social impact, with a focus on social inclusion. SYNTHESIS is the leading organisation in the country in the fields of social entrepreneurship and social innovation. It founded and is managing HUB NICOSIA, an educational centre, and a
community of organisations with cultural, environmental, and social aims. SYNTHESIS is an intermediate organisation of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme and runs the “Social Café,” a unique initiative aiming at the
empowerment of migrants, refugees, and other vulnerable groups. As an adult education provider and an accredited VET institution, SYNTHESIS focuses on the development of training programmes that enhance the personal and employment skills of people, particularly those who experience or are at risk of social exclusion including refugees and asylum seekers, NEET youth, women, elderly, youth, and adults with learning difficulties, people with disabilities, and those people with fewer opportunities, as well as the long-term unemployed. Furthermore, SYNTHESIS offers trainings and develops educational materials relevant to entrepreneurship, sustainable development, and global education, including human rights, peace and conflict resolution, responsible production and consumption, and sustainable cities and communities, incorporating innovative methodologies such as Design Thinking. SYNTHESIS is currently delivering an action programme for refugees and asylum seekers, consisting of language courses, professional training as well as
entrepreneurial and soft skills development. As an intermediate organisation of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs,”
SYNTHESIS offers training and mentoring opportunities to aspiring entrepreneurs across Europe. SYNTHESIS holds
recognised experience in Research, Policy and Evaluation, as it has been providing services to the European Union.


 

CESIE - Italy

CESIE is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation based in Palermo (Italy) and established in 2001. CESIE is
committed to promote the cultural, social, educational and economic development at local, national, European and international levels. CESIE contributes to growth and development through the active participation of people, civil society and institutions, always valuing diversity. Inspired by the work and life of Danilo Dolci, we focus our actions on the research of social needs and challenges and the use of innovative learning approaches. In this way, CESIE actively
connects research with action through the use of formal and non-formal learning approaches. The organisational structure is divided into 6 thematic units working in synergy and managing activities in their specific fields: 1. Adult education (Lifelong learning opportunities) 2. School education (Innovation and support of diversity in school education) 3. Migration (learning pathways for migrants, asylum seekers and refugees) 4. Youth (active citizenship and mobility opportunities) 5. Higher Education and Research (capacity building for HEIs and sustainable research actions) 6. Rights and Justice (human rights, support for victims and survivors of violence, discrimination). and 4 transversal offices (Visibility and Communication, Networking, HRs, Financial). Moreover, CESIE benefits from a broad network of partners with 3000+ civil society organisations, youth centres, social actors, schools, universities, research centres, public authorities, enterprises and entrepreneurs in the world. CESIE staff is composed of 70 people with a wide range of qualifications, skills and professional profiles, united by a deep sharing of ideals that lead our activities. The team has an international character being composed not only by Italians, but also by people from the UK, Germany, France, Spain, Serbia, Greece, Lithuania, Nepal, Ukraine, etc. CESIE is therefore considered to be a very concrete and positive example of European values. At the same time, CESIE relies on 150+ external experts that collaborate for specific activities and projects. Equally important is the contribution from around 100 interns and European and international volunteers engaged in internships at our organization per year.


ECO – LOGIC - North Macedonia

ECO – LOGIC is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to protection and conservation of the environment, promotion of modern ecological practices, as well as monitoring and promoting the principle of sustainable development, emphasizing primary education settings (elementary and primary schools, both formal and non formal). Our organization encourages and supports positive changes in society in the forms of: - Promotion of the ecology as science and promotion of the cleaner production concept, emphasizing primary education settings. - Protection and conservation of nature and the environment, as well as distribution of environmental knowledge and upgrade of ecological education - Promotion of the principle for sustainable development and development of VET programmes in the field - Creating new “green” jobs based on the concept of sustainable development - Organization of specific tailored made training programmes related to sustainable development (eq: sustainable developmeng goals / SDG’s, sustainability, austainability advising, SD in social enterpreneurship, educational SDG cmps for youth, and project activities for both high school staff and students). - Development and testing of innovative methodologies for teaching and learning on the topics of sustainable development, European values, sustainability advising, environemntal awareness, and social business development - Development and introduction of educational board games on various topics in formal and non formal settings (training courses, classrooms, etc.) -Development and testing of tools for initiation of discussion among young people and adults (social topics, european values, personal beliefs, sustainable community development, etc.) - Participation in the creation of the first national programme on home care assistants for elderly people with Alzheimer’s disease, in collaboration with various other national organizations -Delivery of variety of campaigns such as environmental campaigns, worker’s rights campaigns, and many others.
